    Rhodes

    Rhodes Greece is the biggest island of the archipelago called Dodecanese and is the capital of the group of Greek Islands. It is world known for its colossus.

    The capital lies within the walls of a very well preserved Venetian castle, built by the Knights of Saint John.

    Its interesting sites and the wonderful beaches make this Greek island one of the most popular islands of Greece.

    Kos

    It is the second most popular and touristy island after Rhodes.

    It is very well organized and has everything in terms of tourism infrastructure. The various charms and beauties of the Greek Island are not visible at the first sight but, after a while, the picturesque villages and the fine beaches amaze all visitors.

    Kos is the birthplace of the father of medicine, Hippocrates, which was born on the island around 460 B.C. and founded the Great School of Medicine of Kos.

    Karpathos

    Karpathos Greece is one of the beautiful Greek islands of the Dodecanese. It is located between Rhodes and Crete.

    Only the southern part of the Greek Island has been open to the slowly increasing tourism and has all the needed facilities for a pleasant holiday.

    The northern part is totally unspoiled and very authentic, with various traditional and picturesque villages.

    Kalamata – Peloponnese

    Peloponnese is situated very close to Athens and all destinations are easy to access. Peloponnese gets very popular as a weekend or a family destination.

    Things are certainly less busy than in the Greek islands, but due to the large shape of the area, there are more things to do and ancient sites to discover.

    The Peloponnese region of Greece has a warm Mediterranean climate which enjoys fairly mild temperatures all year.

    Kefalonia

    Kefalonia is located on the West coast of Greece, and has a mild climate along with excellent beaches. The island of Kefalonia has escaped mass tourism and recently was used to film Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, set in war-time Kefalonia.

    For those who prefer a slower pace, Kefalonia is a great island for walking, cycling and horse-riding.

    With the Greek islands of Lefkas, Zante and Ithaca close by, you can take a ferry, motor-boat, or yacht to explore the Ionian shores.

    Samos

    Samos is the most visited island of the North-Eastern Aegean Islands, keeping nevertheless its beauty and calm places.

    Samos is a particularly green island which has kept a big part of its impressively green forests.

    Busy resorts, crowded beaches, intensive nightlife but also secluded coves, picturesque villages and peaceful places can be found in Samos.

    Thassos

    Thassos is a green Greek island in the Aegean Sea famous for its historic and archeological landmarks and birthplace of Alexander the Great.

    The small island is well known for its clean beaches, hospitality, its tasty wine and its magnificent honey.

    Still today, you can see many of its archaeological treasures, which will make your journey something special. Also the giant marble factories, which export the snow white marble around the whole world, will amaze you.

    Lesvos

    The island of Lesvos (called Mytilene or Mytilene in Greek) is the third largest island of Greece. It is a very beautiful island with wonderful beaches, picturesque villages, friendly inhabitants, thermal springs and interesting architecture.

    Despite tourism, the inhabitants of the island of Lesvos have kept their tradition and customs.

    Lesvos is famous for its excellent ouzo and for being the birthplace of
    the female poet Sappho.

    Santorini

    Santorini is one of the most popular destinations of Greece and is known as the home of one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.

    Every year, thousands of tourists visit Santorini to discover the famous submerged caldera, the volcano’s crater.

    The lively colors of the white Cycladic houses and blue painted windows contrast stunningly against the black volcanic rocks rising from sea. This scenery keeps inspiring artists and visitors.

    Mykonos

    Mykonos island is part of the Cyclades islands and attracts thousands
    of visitors every year.

    The Greek island is famous for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, its exciting nightlife that is often compared to Ibiza, its picturesque Cycladic capital full of myconian whitewashed houses and blue domed churches; its luxury hotels, the sightseeing and its magnificent sandy beaches.

    Naxos

    Naxos is the biggest and largest of the Greek Islands of the Cyclades Greece, in the Aegean Sea. Naxos is located in front of Paros and near Mykonos.

    The island was for many centuries under the rule of the Venetians and
    Marko Sanudo.

    Naxos Island is characterized by its venetian town, the many picturesque villages, the fertile valleys, the sandy beaches, the marble gate called Portara, the Kouros and the naxian food and tasty agricultural products.

    Epirus - Parga

    The lovely little town of Parga, surrounded by mountains thick with olive groves, is situated in a secluded bay of the Ionian Sea, in the Epirus region of Greece.

    The position of Parga, with its houses built amphitheatrically from the coast up to the top of a mountain, gives this small town its picturesque quality.

    Visitors will be charmed by Parga which, although located on the mainland, has an island-like ambiance to it.

    Zakynthos

    Zakynthos is also called Zante and is part of the Ionian Islands. It has beautiful sandy beaches with crystalline waters which attract thousands of visitors every year.

    Also it is famous for the endangered species of the sea turtle Caretta- Caretta which comes during the reproduction period to lay their eggs on the soft golden sand beaches of the island.

    Highlights: The island is located south of Kefalonia.

    Athens

    Athens city is the capital of Greece.

    It took its name from the ancient goddess Athena. It is thought the town to have at least a 3000 year old recorded history and this makes it one of the oldest cities in Europe.

    Athens is known all over the world as the cradle of a great civilization and for the Acropolis. It is the place where the political system of democracy, sciences and philosophy were born.

    Today, it is the commercial, cultural, financial, political and industrial center of Greece.
